The Brighton & Hove Culture Alliance (BHCA) is entering an exciting new phase as it becomes a Community Interest Company (CIC). We're looking for new Advisory Group members to help shape the organisation's future and support a thriving cultural sector in Brighton & Hove.

The Culture Alliance is a city-wide network that connects people and organisations working across Brighton & Hove's creative and cultural sector. Together, we champion arts and culture, support collaboration, advocate for the sector and work towards a sustainable future for culture in the city. As a CIC, the Culture Alliance will be guided by its Advisory Group, with two members elected as Directors alongside the current Project Manager to help oversee the organisation's development.

We're seeking people who are passionate about culture in Brighton & Hove and can bring a range of skills, experiences and perspectives to the group. We welcome expressions of interest from artists, freelancers, cultural workers, creative entrepreneurs, community leaders, audience members and people working in related sectors. We are particularly keen to hear from people whose voices and experiences are currently underrepresented in the cultural sector. Freelance members will be paid for meeting attendance.

The Advisory Group meets every two months and helps guide the strategic direction of the Culture Alliance, support advocacy and partnership development, and strengthen the city's cultural ecosystem.

Please read our Terms of Reference before applying and complete the Expression of Interest form by Friday 14 August.
